Here’s a little story for you, and you will like it because it applies to your jiu jitsu game. A friend of mine is a Firearms Instructor and he uses many of the same teaching principles that apply to rolling.

One of the demonstrations he uses is a force on force scenario where one person has their weapon at the low ready and the other at the high ready. The person at the low ready makes the decision to pull the trigger and 9 out of 10 times he is quicker than the person at the high ready.
