There’s no doubt, it’s probably the most difficult lesson for any rabbit owner to learn. Ive come across way too many folks who think pet rabbits are like dogs or cats its no wonder that 70% of abandoned rabbits are done so after only 3 months!
Im not saying this to keep you away from owning a pet rabbit they can be the most rewarding, trusting and sweetest pets but you must to know how to train and care for them properly!
When I was 8 years old my parents gave me the cutest little white dwarf rabbit in the world for my birthday.
Because rabbits are panicky by nature and very fragile– if theyre not trained properly and you (or your child) dont know how to hold them correctly, your rabbit could be seriously or even fatally injured!
And thats exactly what happened to Suzie Flowers. I squeezed her so hard of course it didnt feel as hard to me that her spine broke!
Of course, I dont blame my parents for what happened they didnt understand all that was necessary to take care of a rabbit.
